The New Earth

-Temple; Stimson

In my world, there's a city on a rock.
In the middle of the city lies another rock.
On the rock is pedastel on which sits a statue
Of you. Oh you.
All the people bow down to it.
Every day they thank God for it
And for you,
In my world.

In your eyes, there lies an expanse
Filled with clutter and the trappings of a hundred lives.
I see people going nowhere, with nowhere to stand
For me. Oh no.
All the grayness overwhelming
Is a whirlpool overflowing
Over you,
In your world.

Now which is more important:
People or things?
I think we have different answers.
To me my friends are worth everything,
Everything there is in the world.

In a dream, there were people in a place.
They were singing to each other in a special way.
With their song there was music, to which angels played
Forever. Oh yeah.
All the people were so happy,
For they all loved one another--
All but you.
You were gone.

Now which is more important:
People or things?
I think we have different answers.
To me my friends are worth everything,
Everything there is in the world.

Now for real, there are people all around.
And we're singing to each other in a special way.
If you join us you'll have music to which angels play
Forever. Oh yeah.
And you'll really be so happy,
If we all love one another.
It's all part
Of God's world.

It's all part
Of God's world.
