v.1 The embers that once lit the room are all very dim.
The fire's going cold,
As I am growing old....
The things that you and I once said are lost in the snow.
The days are growing short,
And it always feels like winter...anymore.

v.2 The skies of blue that we once knew have faded to grey.
The flowers have all gone;
The last leaves are falling.
The smiles we smiled and jokes we told are part of the past.
I knew they wouldn't last,
But the seasons sure are changing...all too fast.
