Snowflake

-Temple; Marner

((blues))
Since the plane touched down
I've been stag'rin' 'round,
Not really knowing what to say.
You've been out on the street,
Makin' friends with everyone you meet.
I guess its best if I just go away.
I feel sometimes there's just no use in crying about you anymore.
I've already hit the floor.
Time to open up another door.

You know I really do care,
But I've got a cross to bear.
It's my mistake. I apologize.
Sometimes the worst-laid plan
Of a friend and Mister Ice Age Man
Are really all you have to realize.
Snowflake, for goodness' sake, you're dying out there. Can't you see?
You're breaking the fantasy.
Can't believe you'd leave a friend like me.

I'd see your face and warm my broken heart by saying hello.
But now, when you see me, you say our life is just a picture show.
Can't go nowhere; have to grow.
But I'm your friend; I can't say no.

I write 1000 words.
Say you haven't heard.
Not gonna hang around my space.
I'm only in the way --
Two left feet with every word I say.
You should've told me find another place.
You know I really want to try to be my best for you.
Maybe you feel the same way, too.
Then your old best friend won't feel so blue.

I'd see your face and warm my broken heart by saying hello.
But now, when you see me, you say our life is just a picture show.
Can't go nowhere; have to grow.
But I'm your friend; I can't say no.
Oh, Snowflake, I don't want to go.
