Goodbye, Summer

Dreamer; Stimson

The hummingbirds are winging down to old Mexico.
The bunnies all hide
Next to the roadside.
They're ready for the snow.
I told you how Winter came to stay,
Now Summer has gone away.

The winds have changed from south to north across the nation.
We'll spend the next weeks
Checking for leaks
Throughout the foundation.
The gold and green will surely sigh,
For Summer has passed us by.

Take care; goodbye.
We wish you well.
Where we will go, but time will tell.
Onward...
To a brand new season.
