I Know Nothing

-- Temple

INTRO :07

If I opened my eyes I'd see
So many people in so much pain,
Being hurt by the ones in charge.
I couldn't sit back; I'd have to do something.
So...I...
Keep my eyes closed, and everything's wonderful.
Keep my eyes closed, and the pain is impossible.
And everything is fine by me.

If I opened my ears I'd hear
The screams of my colleagues who're so frustrated
As they struggle to keep their minds.
I couldn't just sleep; I'd have to help someone.
So...I...
Keep my ears closed, and everything's wonderful.
Keep my ears closed, and I don't have to listen.
And everything is fine by me.

I see nothing, nothing:
Nothing's wrong.
I hear nothing, nothing,
Nothing at all.
As I walk along, I look at my feet....

INST BRIDGE

If I opened my mouth I'd speak
Of all the injustice that is being done,
And how I might be next in line.
I couldn't shut up; I'd have to keep talking.
So...I...
Keep my mouth closed, and everything's wonderful.
Keep my mouth closed, and I stay out of trouble.
And everything is fine by me.

I say nothing, nothing:
Nothing's wrong.
I know nothing, nothing,
Nothing at all.
As I walk along, I look at my feet....

If I see no evil,
Hear no evil,
Speak no evil,
Maybe all the evil will go away.
That's what I hope any way.
For...now...
My whole world revolves around me...,
But if I opened my eyes, I would see.
